Anxious For What?

by Pastor DR Carol
(Nelliston, NY U.S.A.)

Matthew 6:25

I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes?

The newspapers and News on TV is just filled with such terrible life stories, and we have only to leave with worrying and not knowing what to do, feeling agitated and not knowing why. Perhaps some people see it as "entertainment" but I think most find it very appalling.

How can we get through life, when we feel we are going to starve, loose all our freedom and be left not even owning our homes? Getting old without health or even life insurance. Knowing you paid for your health insurance all your life, and it has been spent without your knowledge. Yes, that is stealing, if anyone else did it.

I am not here trying to recap all of the news we are hearing today, but I am here with good news. I am here to say, that we do not need to worry, as all of the things we hear are not going to hurt us as long as we have chosen the one who made life, and created this world.

I know we wonder if God knows about what is going on and I assure you He does! He intercedes in more ways then we know. We may not have all the finest but we will always be clothed.

Let us look at Adam and Eve, and how they hid once they sinned and heard God walking in the Garden Of Eden that one fine day! They found fig leaves to tie on them for cover(The biggest 'cover up' yet). Our lord did find them and did know what they had been up to.

God is a just God and yes punishment came with the sin, but yet Jesus died to keep us from eternal death and life in Hades with Satan. Can we deny that we all struggle and yet it is worth it if we know life beyond this life will exist?

It is worth it because the life beyond this life is most glorious and all the temptations and tests, and all of the rudeness, and evil will be gone. It will not be like the negative things we find on Earth.

Do you want to know that you have life after this life, and that you are not going to have to end up in a hell, forever more, and that there is someone who loved you enough to come and give His all, His very life for you...and has "gone to prepare a place for you? "

If you have said yes, and if that you know that this world is full of fear, and you are upset often and want to know that you will be alright in the end, no matter how rough the struggles become, just give your life to Jesus!

Ask Him to come into your life now. You know He knows you and knows all about you and is waiting for you to come to Him now.

If you have found Jesus as your Savior be sure to not allow fear to grip you to the point you loose your faith in Jesus! He loves you and is never going to allow things that will hurt you actually come about.

Let people go on trying to place fear and obstacles in our way, but we can overcome them one by one, if we pray and stand together as Christians. We may not be perfect, but we are strong in Christ!

Philippians 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus!"

Yes, you will have peace in Christ, knowing He is with you no matter what people say will probably happen we know that we are "resting in the arms of Jesus" We are safe and secure from all.
