Beware
by Ronald Jenkins
(WINTER HAVEN, FL.,USA)
Beware of matter and life appears good,
To validate mystery snakes under a hood.
To lose the word and speak from self,
A poisoned heart placed on a shelf.
To please oneself and do it right,
Is the trickery of evil to blind your sight.
To lose the word the truth so pure,
To hear hardened heart the utmost cure.
Beware to follow brass wayward ways,
You don’t know how to give him praise.
He is the lamb and great mountain stone,
The absolute savior he pleads atones.
Apart from him brings fate less trust,
Of prideful living boasts airy gusts.
The demon is cunning his gripping smile,
Will lead benevolent flesh a stranded mile.
Beware of him this intellectual sprite,
Have knowledge in God and all of his might.
