Your Christian Poem Page

The Christian Poem is a verse that may be used to help illuminate a Biblical truth. In fact, Evans said in his book "How to Prepare Sermons" that poetry should not be neglected as a fruitful field for illustration. Be at home with the poets. Read a good one each day. Classify it after you have read it, so that you can have it ready for use any time you need it.

Poetry is a composition in verse that describes something and can be used to help illuminate a Biblical truth. Maybe you have written some verses for your sermons or even for a song. Please share your best one (or two or three) that helps drive home a Biblical truth.

These poetical illustrations can help other preachers when they prepare their sermons. Some preachers are not gifted in this way and you can be a blessing to them and their hearers with your work in this area.

You can submit your poetry at the bottom of this page. You can even comment on other works that have been submitted. If you have not written any poetry of your own, you may submit the words to your favorite songs that are in the public domain, which would be older hymns and choruses. Many of these old songs have great verses that help support the Scripture.

Thanks for your help in advance.
