Revelation 21

Introduction: A good friend of mine went home to be with the Lord at 4:15 this afternoon. He is absent from the body and present with the Lord. Call it what you will (Holy City, Glory, Heaven) - I call it Home. Read the last verse of Revelation 21 and you will begin to see that this is a place of -

1. Perfect Fellowship (I Corinthians 13:12; I John 3:2)

2. Perfect Rest (Revelation 14:13)

3. Perfect Knowledge (I Corinthians 13:12)

4. Perfect Holiness (Revelation 21:27)

5. Perfect Joy (Revelation 21:4)

6. Perfect Service (Revelation 22:3)

7. Perfect Abundance (Revelation 21:6)

8. Perfect Glory (II Corinthians 4:17)

9. Perfect Worship (Revelation 7:9-12)

10. Perfect Attendance (Revelation 21:27)

When all my labors and trials are o'er
And I am safe on that beautiful shore
Just to be near the dear Lord I adore
Will through the ages be glory for me.

When by the gift of His infinite grace
I am accorded in heaven a place
Just to be there and to look on His face
Will through the ages be glory for me.

Friends will be there I have loved long ago
Joy like a river around me will flow
Yet just a smile from my Savior I know
Will through the ages be glory for me.

O that will be glory for me
Glory for me, glory for me
When by His grace I shall look on His face
That will be glory, be glory for me.

I call it "Promoted To Glory"
by: Charles Robey

I reallly like your article.

In the Salvation Army church, where I was raised, it was known as being "Promoted To Glory".

The hymn you gave was my Grandfather's favorite hymn. Thanks for bringing it back to memory.

God Bless

Charles
