LIFE'S DREAM LAND

by Charles Robey
(Trussville AL)

Is life just a dream
And we never wake
Do our thoughts merge
Like love and hate
Love dreams so joyful
Bad dreams for debate

Is life just a dream
What if we wake
Will we find peace
That's ours to take
Or will it be sorry
As life's big fake

Yes life's a real dream
In God's love we awake
If by our faith alone
God's grace we partake
Then by God's love
Our sins to forsake

The professionals say everybody dreams every night. While some dreams are short lived and forgotten, others seem to make a lasting impression on our finite minds.

Occasionally, dreams will cause me to awaken in a fear of panic. When this occurs, sometimes I simply get a nice cold glass of milk, whisper a pray by reminding my Heavenly Father of the scripture verse which states, " For God gave us not a spirit of fearfulness; but of power and love and discipline". ( II Timothy 1:7) I then tighten the bed covers around me and drift off to sleep. Not counting sheep but counting my blessings.

"In peace I will both lie down and sleep, For You alone, O LORD, make me to dwell in safety". (Psalms 4:8)
