(A Mother's Day Tribute)

Ephesians 6:13 - Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit.

MIGHTY WARRIOR

IN THE STILL OF THE MORNING A MOTHER BEGINS HER DAY
DOWN UPON HER KNEES QUIETLY SHE PRAYS
FIRST WHISPERING WORDS OF WORSHIP
TO HER HEAVENLY FATHER'S EAR
THEN LIFTING EVERY BURDEN UNTO HIS LOVING CARE

I'M SURE IF YOU COULD SEE HER HOW FRAIL SHE WOULD APPEAR
JUST A MOTHER CRYING DOWN ON HER KNEES IN PRAYER
BUT IF YOU SHOULD LOOK CLOSER YOU MIGHT CHANCE TO SEE
THE GLISTENING OF ARMOR THERE ON BENDED KNEE

FOR ON HER HEAD THERE IS A HELMET
IN HER HAND THERE IS A SWORD
FOR SHE IS A MIGHTY WARRIOR IN THE ARMY OF THE LORD
HER LOINS ARE GIRT ABOUT WITH TRUTH
HER FEET ARE SHOD TO TREAD
THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF GOD UPON EVERY DEMON'S HEAD

HER BREASTPLATE IS HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS
HER FAITH A TRUSTED SHIELD
WITH THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT UPON HER LIPS
A MIGHTY WEAPON SHE WIELDS

IN THE STILL OF THE MORNING
WHILE HER HOUSEHOLD SLEEPS
THE SAFETY OF HER FAMILY
THE MIGHTY WARRIOR KEEPS
