One Way

John 14:6

6 Jesus answered him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one goes to the Father except through me.

John 14:6
Worldwide English (New Testament) (WE)
6 Jesus said to him, `I am the way. I am the truth. I give life. No one can come to my Father unless I take him there.

By the help of the Holy Spirit I would like to talk to you about that there is but one way to The Father and that is through Jesus Christ. From the text in your hearing we are going to talk about that “ONE WAY”.

I.

A new study, entitled The Global Religious Landscape, from the Pew Forum on Religion & Public Life, has found, among other interesting facts, that Christianity has become fairly evenly distributed around the world. The Asia and Pacific regions contain most of the other world religions, as well as most of the religiously unaffiliated.

Christians are the world’s largest religious group and are nearly evenly dispersed globally, according to a new Pew study on the size, geographic distribution and median ages of the world’s major religious groups.

Of the world’s 6.9 billion people, 2.2 billion or 32 percent are Christians, Pew reported Dec. 18. While only 12 percent of Christians live in North America, the vast majority of Christians, 99 percent, live outside the Middle East-North Africa region where Christianity began.

Apart from North America, Christians are geographically dispersed, with 26 percent in Europe, 24 percent in Latin America and the Caribbean, 24 percent in sub-Saharan Africa and 13 percent in the Asia-Pacific region, the study by the Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life found, based on 2010 data.

Researchers did not study the degree to which people actively practice their faiths, but relied on the subjects’ self-identification of their religious affiliation. . . .
The majority of the world’s other religions lives in the Asia-Pacific region, including nearly all Buddhists and Hindus, and most Muslims and the religiously unaffiliated, researchers found. While 58.8 percent of the world’s population lives in the Asia-Pacific region, it is home to 99 percent of Hindus and Buddhists, 62 percent of Muslims and 76 percent of the religiously unaffiliated.

In the text today,Jesus points it out and made it very clear that there is only one way to the Father and that's through Jesus Christ.
For those of you who's looking for another way other than another way different from the way Jesus says, then you need not to look again.

II.

Jesus is "the way" because of all mankind, only He, unmarred by sin, has intimate knowledge of God. Knowing God depends on our knowledge of the truth about Jesus. He shows the way we must walk, the direction and manner of living and relating to others. This is precisely the knowledge Jesus gives. Many times when we ask directions in a strange city, the response confuses us because we are unfamiliar with the town. But when we ask directions of Jesus, He says, "Come, follow Me, and I will take you there."

Colossians 1:15;2:9 are among the strongest statements in the Bible about the divine nature of Jesus: "He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. . . . For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." He not only is equal to and reflects God, but He also reveals God to us because He is God. He is completely holy and has authority to judge the world.

We can have no clearer view of God than by looking at Christ. He is the full revelation of God to man. He is the complete expression of God in a human body. He is unique: God became a man, imposing upon Himself the same time-space limitations as other men. Again this separates the Christians from the other religious faith.

I am the Way -That leads so the Father: - the Truth that teaches the knowledge of God, and directs in the way: - the Life that animates all those who seek and serve him, and which is to be enjoyed eternally at the end of the way.

Christ is the Way:
1.By his doctrine,John 6:68.
2.By his example,1Peter 2:21.
3.By his sacrifice,Hebrews 9:8,Hebrews 9:9.
4.By his Spirit,John 16:13.

III. He is The Truth:

1.In opposition to all false religions.
2.To the Mosaic law, which was only the shadow, not the truth or substance, of the good things which were to come. And
3.In respect to all the promises of God,2Corinthians 1:20.

Right before Jesus was to be crucified,Pilate had a conversation with Jesus. Asking Jesus was he King of the Jews?
Jesus answered, “Are you saying this on your own, or did others tell you this about me?”
Pilate replied, “Do I look like a Jew? Your people and your high priests turned you over to me. What did you do?”

“My kingdom,” said Jesus, “doesn’t consist of what you see around you. If it did, my followers would fight so that I wouldn’t be handed over to the Jews. But I’m not that kind of king, not the world’s kind of king.”

Then Pilate pressing the question to Jesus if He as a King and that's where Jesus talks about The Truth; Jesus answered, “You tell me. Because I am King, I was born and entered the world so that I could witness to the truth. Everyone who cares for truth, who has any feeling for the truth, recognizes my voice.”

And this is where Pilate asked the question,”What is truth?” Pilate was looking at the truth right in front of him and didn't see it.

IV.

He is the Life, both in grace and glory; the life that not only saves from death, but destroys it.
No man cometh unto the Father -Not by any other doctrine, not by any other merit, or by any other intercession than mine.
John the beloved once wrote, “in Him was life and the light of men.”John 1:4. In other words, that Jesus is life and that life is the light for the people of the world. With this light, you see clearly. With this light, you can no longer be in darkness but in His marvelous light.

Conclusion/Closing

And so my brothers and my sisters, choose life not death; step into marvelous light and let Jesus be your only way to salvation.

Choose life because according to Romans 6:23 that, “for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”.

Choose life because according to Romans 8:2 that, “for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Will you choose life over death?

Jesus can make a difference in your life if you only trust Him and listen to His Word and listen to the Holy Spirit that will guide you to the right path; doing the right thing.

I challenge you to let Jesus be the way, the truth and the light for you in your life. No one else can do you like Jesus. Nobody can't save you like Jesus. No one can't heal you like the Lord Jesus. Will you try Him?

You tried drugs and it didn't help. You tried alcohol and it didn't help. You tried everything else and guess what, it failed but I am here to tell you Jesus never fails! Jesus never fails! AMEN.
