THAT WE MIGHT BELIEVE

by Charles Robey

“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

“Take courage! It is I. Don’t be afraid.”

It was the first miracle of its time, by turning the water into wine.
That we might believe
When His healings had begun, Many were healed by the Son
That we might believe
At the meeting by the sea, A small lads dinner served those that be
That we might believe
When traveling through the land, Many demons left by command
That we might believe
Many times He calmed the seas, And walked waves as He pleased
That we might believe
By a simple speech command, death became life throughout the land
That we might believe.
The fishes coin He did confound, When the tribute money was found.
That we might believe
When betrayed in the garden field, the soldiers ear was divinely healed
That we might believe
Many miracles to the world seemed dross, Above all was the work of the cross
That we might believe
For this greatest miracle of divine grace, happened as Christ took our place
That we might believe
Now that salvations plan is freely set, Failure to accept would be a regret.
That we might believe

Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed." (John 20:29)

Here we are, in the 21st Century. We haven't seen Jesus. We haven't seen His many works on earth. Nor, have we seen His many miracles performed. And most importantly, we did not physically experience His finished work on the Calvary cross, for the forgiveness of our sins. Yet, we bow our head and pray, in Jesus' name.

Yes, prayer has been proven, throughout the centuries, and definitely works. If you don't believe that it works, just ask the drug addict, whose life has been instantly changed by the spoken word of prayer.

Just ask the alcoholic, whose life was suddenly changed, by the spoken word of prayer.

Just ask that down-and-out depressed young person, whose prayer suddenly turned a life around from a would be suicide.

Or, check that mended marriage, whose lives have been changed through prayer.

And most important of all just ask the millions of individuals, from ever kindred and culture across this great earth of ours, whose sins have been forgiven by prayer. Whom are now on their way to spending an eternity with God, through His son Christ Jesus, because of their exception of God's Grace, by way of their trusting faith in Him.

THE BIBLE TELLS US !
" 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— 9 not by works, so that no one can boast. " (Ephesians 2:8-9)

How about you? Have you taken God, at His word, and have faithfully accepted what Jesus Christ did for you, on the cross. It's simple, just talk to God about it.
