When He Is at the Center of Who You Are

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

When we think of witnessing to people, countless Christians think of sharing a particular method to a lost person in hopes that the person will get saved with the same thought as a cook putting ingredients into an oven hoping a cake will turn out.

The truth is that if you limit your scope of being a witness to a particular tool, you have pitifully limited Christ.

I am not saying that formulas are bad, they can be great tools.
However the scope of Christ is so much deeper than what a particular plan reveals.

A plan is great as an introductory into learning how to share your faith.
This passage shows the ultimate goal in living as a witness in Christ.
The reason countless people think following Christ is fake is because of the shallowness and lazy acceptance of Christ by supposed Christians.
To be a Christian means to be a "Christ follower". It is meant to be our way of life.

The sole purpose of Christ working in the believer's life is so the believer can be made into His image, and if you are not moving towards that goal then you are out of line.

When Christ is on the throne of our hearts we will hunger for Him.
We will want to know Him better and when He reveals His Truth we will gladly accept it.

When He is at the center of who you are, when you share with the lost you are not sharing a plan, you are sharing Christ how He was meant to be shared.
