I NEVER THOUGHT I'D EVER SEE THE DAY-WHEN FREEDOM MAY BE TAKEN AWAY

by Charles Robey
(Trussville AL)

"The bricks have fallen down, But we will rebuild with smooth stones; The sycamores have been cut down, But we will replace them with cedars" ( Isaiah 9:10)

Have you ever felt as if you were taking one step forward and two steps back, in this old world. Well, I've been there and seemly done that. However, our loving Heavenly Father is still in command. And, may we never forget.

The bricks, of our world, may fall around us, but God promises they will be replaced with smooth stones, coated with Heavens blessings. In other words, the stumbling blocks of life are simply just stepping stones, in God's world.

Yes, our freedom is in the Lord, and may we never forget that, as well.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be scorched, Nor will the flame burn you."(Isaiah 43:2)

I'd rather have freedom than ever see the day
I'd rather have freedom than liberty be taken away
I'd rather have freedom than to evil go astray
I'd rather have freedom than from God fall away
I'd rather have freedom than have subsidized land
I'd rather have freedom than promoted a welfare plan
I'd rather have freedom than the unemployment line
I'd rather have freedom than food stamps confine
I'd rather have freedom than have all my bills paid
I'd rather have freedom than my mortgage be stayed
I'd rather have freedom than not consider it to be war
I'd rather have freedom than not count the battle score
I'd rather have freedom than all labors work be in vain
I'd rather have freedom than the cost of living a strain
I'd rather have freedom than laws passed and not read
I'd rather have freedom than the constitution be dead

I'd rather have freedom than be taxed beyond the means
I'd rather have freedom than have taxes be in the genes
I'd rather have freedom than have health be given up
I'd rather have freedom than prescriptions run a muck
I'd rather have freedom than have retirement going away
I'd rather have freedom than pensions becoming astray
I'd rather have freedom than other liberties stand
I'd rather have freedom than the cash outsiders demand
I'd rather have freedom than the system sink the boat
I'd rather have freedom than the the evil remain afloat
I'd rather have freedom than the news setting good aside
I'd rather have freedom than news forgetting the pride
I'd rather have freedom than election falsehoods spread
I'd rather have freedom than the honest truth mislead
I'd rather have freedom than a strange language spoken
I'd rather have freedom than our liberty be broken
I'd rather have freedom than an unfair equality state
I'd rather have freedom than authority seal our fate
I'd rather have freedom than not allowed to vote a mind
I'd rather have freedom than awake to a defeated time
I'd rather have freedom than be instructed how to pray
I'd rather have freedom than the Bible be taken away
I'd rather have freedom than not enter the young fight
I'd rather have freedom than not to teach children right
I'd rather have freedom than church called the state
I'd rather have freedom than to ever enter that debate
I'd rather have freedom than not to worship as I please
I'd rather have freedom than not give truth with ease
I'd rather have freedom than stand for unjust laws
I'd rather have freedom than not support gospels cause
I'd rather have freedom than liberty be put to the test
I'd rather have freedom, than America nor be blessed

GOD BLESS AMERICA
