The Purpose of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil

Text:Genesis beginning in chapter 3 the Lord reveals the key reason for this particular tree. He declared all the other trees were good for food. The name of this tree revealed it's purpose. This tree was a teaching aide to understand by KNOWLEDGE the difference between good/grace and evil which was created by satan... I said evil was created by satan...NOT Adam. yes Adam and Eve opened the door to evil by disobedience to KNOWN KNOWLEDGE. Many have said that experience is the best teacher,,,,only in a very few cases but definitely not in THIS case. GOD NEVER intended for mankind to experience the curse of evil through experience but by the teaching and revelation from the Tree of the KNOWLEDGE OF good and evil. The fact is simple here,"every good and perfect gift comes from above coming from the Father of Lights". God said after viewing the works of His own hands was "good and very good". With that being said the contrast is this; every gift given to mankind that was free for example food and water among other gifts must be attained "by the sweat of our brow". So far reaching was and still is of evil even the gifts of salvation and the Holy Spirit comes to us through the highest price ever paid; which was through the sacrifice of the Son Of GOD.

Let's define the word knowledge which is actually two words fastened together to express a point of interest. First the word "know" which in one definition means to be or have INTIMATE acquaintance; the word "ledge" a ledge is somewhat of a step or a horizontal surface from a wall a cliff or other surface. Which points to the scripture that says "we go from glory to glory and from faith to faith". Which fits perfectly with GOD's design for mankind's continuous ascent into higher dimensions of growth into spiritual things which is where we truly belong. The thing about trees is that they are planted and grow from seeds...seeds by nature take root and trees tend to rap their roots around other trees in the ground. This makes it hard to uproot them. To close this message the Bible declares that "a tree is known by the fruit it bears". All scripture quotes are from the King James version of the Bible. Genesis 3; James 1:17; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18; Luke 6:44.
