2020- YEAR OF PERFECT VISION-PART 1

by CHARLES ROBEY
(TRUSSVILLE AL )

Our eyes are a miracle within themselves. Each year, for probably the last 10 years or so, when I go for my annual eye examination, I know what the doctor will say, the same thing he has said for many years. You have cataracts. After my reading of the eye chart, he always concludes by telling me my test hasn’t change much, unless I want new glasses. My pat answer is always, “I’m fine for now.” I realize, probably at some point, I will require the surgery, but I am fine for now.

Parallel America’s politics. Oftentimes we Christians have a few political cataracts ourselves. We know they are there, the evil problems that exist (Ephesians 6:12), yet we often ignore them, because we are only sojourners here on earth. We may take the attitude of total adherence to government because it is regarded as being equal to God. Or we may rebel, thinking the government is deemed an agent of evil.

In other words, our 20-20 political vision has eroded. We will simply wink or flash our political eyes and move on. Or we may just change glasses, but the world around us will not change, only our view of it all. I pray that’s not the case with you. For we have a higher loyalty to our God and to His eternal will for us all, including this great country of America, “The Land of the free, The Home of the Brave.“

“After He said this, He showed them His hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.” (John 20:20)

It’s here, the long-awaited year of our Lord, 2020. Twenty-twenty means one has perfect vision. Will America see perfectly in 2020? Will you see perfectly this year? Will America truly find our all-powerful, all-knowing Creator in 2020, for what He is and what He does? I surely pray so.

This new year will bring vast changes. It will have many challenges, such as technological advancements, educational enhancements, infostructure upgrades, the progression of legalistic interruptions, health care improvements, and the like.

Listed among the top of the list, should probably be politics. In this year we will have America’s all-important national election. This will be an election like none other. America’s choice will be given, a choice between freedom and socialistic living.

Will America remain the land of the free, the home of the brave, or will we see America’s capitalism retreat into a completely different social atmosphere, that of a collective
Trotskyism society. It will be your choice, America. For you are “We the people.”

For those of you who may not be familiar with the unfamiliar pronoun Trotskyism, here’s a little hint, taken from the Internet.

“It’s the political or economic principles of Leon Trotsky, especially the theory that socialism should be established throughout the world by continuing revolution. Trotskyism has generally included elements of anarchism and syndicalism, but the term has come to be used indiscriminately to describe a great many forms of radical socialism. “

Yes, this year could possibly change or ultimately, eventually and lastly see the end to America as we know it. We the people cannot let this happen to our great America the Beautiful. And we surely cannot afford to accept a socialistic form of government. Review your history or check in on some of the third world nations that are miserable places to live.

We are all of celestial trait, regardless of our birthright. We are all made in the very image of our living Creator, God. (Genesis 1:26-27) It makes no difference as to one’s political belief or no belief at all. Our natural heritage is the same.

That inheritance being the eternal state of our living soul. To live forever, with or without the presentence of God in our lives. All other demographics are simply temporal.

In other words, we were created in the natural and moral likeness of God. When mankind sinned, in the Garden of Eden, (Genesis3:1-7) mankind lost the moral likeness, which was his sinlessness, but the natural likeness of intellect, emotions, and the will is still retained (Genesis 9:6) (James 3:9) (Taken in part from the Ryrie study Bible foot notes)

Between a rock and a hard place

Too often our choice in politicians is the lesser of two evils. People aren't perfect. Thank God I am a citizen of a heavenly kingdom whose Commander in Chief is above reproach.
