God's Gift To Us Is Salvation

Acts 5:30-32

INTRODUCTION: Many people’s favorite holiday is Christmas because of receiving gifts. A gift is something that is given as a present. A gift is free and nothing has to be given in return. A present is a gift when someone receives it and takes the gift.

The Bible talks about gifts in Acts 5:30-32 and tells us about one in particular. The gift that the Bible talks about here is salvation. This free gift of salvation comes from God. Salvation comes from believing in Christ’s dead, burial and resurrection, our repentance and receiving of the Holy Spirit.

This was Peter and the Apostles response to the Sadducees about Jesus resurrection. The Holy Spirit enabled them and gave them boldness to preach and perform miracles.

We have to believe that Christ died and that God raided Him from the dead. Have you accepted Christ as your Saviour? Do you believe that Christ died for your sins and that He rose again on the third day for you? Will you believe today?

We have to believe that with our repentance God will forgive our sins. Do you believe that God will forgive all your sins? Well He will if you will ask Him to. If you are lost today will you ask God to forgive you of all your sins, to wipe your slate clean so you can start your life over and live it for Christ.

We have to believe that the Holy Spirit is given to those who believe in Christ. If you asked God to be your Lord and Saviour today then you have received the Holy Spirit today. He has come to live inside of you, to give you strength and power. Will you come today to receive the Lord as your personal Saviour?
