I Came To Pray

by Samuel Williams
(Gladstone Or. America)

Note: It took many years to arrive in a place where God can use me for His Glory.

Now everyone wants to be loved
They want to feel like they belong
The pain you feel is what I’m thinking of
I came to pray then I’ll move on
(Chorus)
I pray for you who want to change
To have God’s love and to know His name
I pray for you, you know who you are
You came a long way to get this far

It started out being so much fun
out in this big world on your own
Time flew by what have you done
I came to pray then I’ll move on
(Chorus)
I pray for you who want to change
To have God’s love and to know His name
I pray for you, you know who you are
You came a long way to get this far

It’s not too late to come around
by standing up and breaking free
Don't let the circumstance hold you down
God’s giving back your dignity
(Chorus)
I pray for you who want to change
To have God’s love and to know His name
I pray for you, you know who you are
You came a long way to get this far
