WAKE UP AMERICA
(Trussville, AL USA)
“19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision. Then Daniel praised the God of heaven 20 and said:
“Praise be to the name of God forever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
21 He changes times and seasons;
he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
and knowledge to the discerning.
22 He reveals deep and hidden things;
he knows what lies in darkness,
and light dwells with him.
23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
You have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.” (Daniel 2:19-23)
Please allow me to share an unusual experience, which I had recently during the night. Sometime during the night, I was awakened with a thought. This thinking was so pronounced within my memory, that I failed to return to sleep for a while.
The above scripture came to mind, not the entire passage but just the scripture reference. And with the scripture reference, came the idea that I should mark this passage, making a note of November 8, 2016, the date of America's general election. Including in my thought process was the thinking that I should also pray over the passage everyday till election day.
Well, I just lay for some time, reasoning and wrestling with my thoughts. Why me? I had read this particular passage many times, and have even written about it, so why me, why now? You see, I'm no preacher, just an ordinary believer, struggling as most other Christians do with the evil cares of this world. Anyway, I have taken this thought at face value and now have complied with my thoughts by marking the scripture. And I will pray over this scripture daily.
While still awake, my mind then drifted off into other areas of Christian thinking, in particular God's sovereign grace. In my secular world, I'm not sure of the outcome of this pending election. One thing I am confident of however, is that nothing will happen outside of God's will for our country and for our lives (1 Kings 8:23).
If the populace elects godly representatives, I will shout a big "Amen"(Exodus 15:2-3, 6-7). On the contrary, if evil agents are elected I, along with the rest of the country, Christian and non-Christian alike, will suffer the consequences of God's judgment (Psalm 74:6-7).
So, wake up America. There is so much at stake, in this upcoming election, that is virtually impossible for me to describe or name. Our very existence, as a free county, is at stake. Evil is running rampant, unbridled and out of control. Satan, the controller of this current world system (Ephesians 6:11-12), knows his time is short, so he and his minions are working overtime to destroy America through apostasy of our civil and religious structure (2 Timothy 3:1-5,7,13) ( 2 Timothy 4:3-4).
Thus, it is time for us fellow believers to continue in God's Word (Hebrews 12:2). We must, by faith, give ourselves to God. When we as a country, and as a people, give ourselves over to God, He has a way of helping us understand that the story He started long ago in our lives will end well, come what may, including evil characters being elected to public office. (Deuteronomy 3:24). I have read the back of the book (Bible), and we win (Psalm 39:4-7).
Won't you join me, in claiming this scripture of Daniel 2? Won't you also get your fellow email friends involved as well? Remember, and don't you forget it, God is still on the throne. So let us thank Him in advance for our undeserved kindness (Psalm 8:3-9).

John Paul Jackson, on his web page, has summed up this blog, perfectly. " When asked, most Christians would say they believe the Bible. But when probed further, and asked specifically about the wild, supernatural events that took place throughout the Old and New Testaments—those things—can they be taken literally. That’s usually when the words symbolism, or allegory, or metaphorical get thrown around to avoid having to actually say ‘that’s too strange to be true.’ Did the Red Sea really part to allow the Jews to escape the Egyptians? Did one angel really strike down armies of men? Did Jesus really walk on water, turn water into wine, be born of a virgin, feed 5000 with a just few baskets of food…did those things really happen? Or were they just metaphors?
Backed into a corner with the reality that the Bible actually says these things happened, some Christians prefer to draw a line in the sand and say that was then, in Bible times, and this is now. Today things are different. We live in a different world. God doesn’t need to use supernatural exploits to accomplish His plan—it’s already been accomplished. Jesus put an end to all of that craziness. God no longer needs to speak to us through a dream we have at night, or show us things in a vision, or send angels to help us, protect us, or deliver important instructions. Those things ended long ago. And it’s a good thing too, because those things are messy and hard to explain. Mysteries are for Hollywood "
In summary, God is in control, and does act supernaturally (Psalm 75:6-7) (Proverbs 21:1). History proves this so, from the early Bible times, to today's generation. And it will be God's ability to act above and beyond what is natural and unexplainable, by science or the laws of nature, in this upcoming American General Election. So be sure and vote, according to God's Word. Then sit back and just watch Him work. Amen!
